Welcome to the offical JDP Site!

Hey Everyone and welcome to the new JDP site. This is not the final design for the site this is what we have for the time being until we get the whole site uploaded. On this we are gonna have some stuff you can listen to and enjoy and we are also gonna have all the latest news and pictures updated daily. So take your time and look around and enjoy yourself

The site isn't quite finished yet, but it most likely will be in the near future. Anyone interested in hearing us should come over to Jesse Taffels house every Friday, unless posted otherwise. We're just trying to get ourselves out there at the moment, we've remained "Dormant" for a long time now. A little about the band...... Guitarists Jesse Taffel and Will Shaw have been in the band since about January 2002 and have been the founding members ever since. Upon being introduced to Jesse Taffel, Will Shaw immediately felt a musical connection, and started playing with Taffel very often. At that current time Will Was mostly into punk and some rock bands, after playing with Jesse for a long time Will Refined his musical tastes and began listening to a variety of things, including Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Slayer, and Pantera. This went on for a couple of months untill they got together with a local drummer named Josh Dougherty, he had the flare, and at the time, he was exactly what they needed, a drummer, basically. Although extremely talented, Dougherty soon left JDP due to a change in taste for music. So now drummer-less, and still without a bass player, this gave Taffel and Shaw a lot of time to get done some writing, which is when "Where we begin" was thus created. So now with an album written and still missing a drummer and bass player, Taffel contacts his old drummer, Josh Balance. Dispite having different tastes than Shaw and Taffel in music, balance, immediately connected, which was expected being that he had past experiences with playing with Taffel, a couple months later Josh Hurts his knee and is unable to drum for a while. At this moment Taffel is ready to take a break from JDP for a short period of time. While taking a break, he comes upon the Bass player and friend, James Fleetwood, who sticks around for a while and is seemly dedicated to his music. With a new motive for music, Taffel gets the band going again and starts experimenting with Fleetwood and his lower end of the musical spectrum. While amidst everything going good with Fleetwood, a new band member and soon to be good friend, is introduced to the band, Steve Lerro, an experienced and technically precise drummer from the band Otto. Once introduced, Steve clicked with the band almost instantly, the first time we all played together we played various songs including songs from JDPs newest musical influence, Dream Theater. With a complete band, things were looking good for JDP. But due to differences in the band, Fleetwood left JDP and they were now left bass-less, once again. Not letting the loss of the lower end bring the rest of the band down, they then underwent some changes. Against the usual setup of Taffel playing Lead and singing, and Shaw playing Rythem, they now switched to Shaw singing and playing a second lead, and Taffel continuing to play lead, but just doing backing vocals. And thus leading to the present day.... We have now aquired a new bass player his name is Frank Celona who is a close friend of Drummer Steve Lerro. He came to the first practice and sounded a little choppy at first but soon came to be what the band was looking for. We played our first show at Interboro High School together on the 22nd of December and it went quite well. This pretty much sums up the story of JDP to present day. Heh. An attempt at summarizing the chapters in JDPs history
